Marie Kendrick

Marie Kendrick, born in New Orleans, La., November 8, 1950, entered into eternal rest on March 1, 2014 at the age of 63. Daughter of the late Leslie Charles Kendrick and Florence Weber Kendrick; niece of the late Clifford Maldonado. A resident of Picayune, Miss., for many years.

Marie was incredibly witty, thoughtful, generous, an amazing mother, and sister; also friend to Cheyenne-Doris Reilly, of Ault, Colo., and others living at the Pines Apartments in Picayune. She enjoyed her working life as a transportation truck driver, while her pleasure was fishing.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Bobbie Marie Smith of Baton Rouge, La., Donald Smith (Jeri) of Picayune, Sandra Smith of Picayune, Gerald Smith (Angie) of Bogalusa, La., and Roxanne Kendrick Sparacello of Harvey, La.

Grandmother of: Donald A. Murphy, Jr., Michael Smith, Taylor Smith, Tyler J. Smith, Harley Smith, Ashley Smith. Great-grandmother of: Drake A. Murphy, Kayden Smith, Jayson Smth, Makailyn Smith and Landyn Smith.

She will be sadly missed by her sister, Floretta Kendrick Fryer and brothers: Lester Charles Kendrick (Helen) and Henry Charles “Hank” Kendrick, all of Slidell, La. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangement was made by Church Funeral Service, 13250 Highway 431, St. Amant, La. No services.
