Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. in Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Brown, 47, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away March 15, 2014 in Slidell, La.

The Rev. Delbert Hall will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.

A native of New Orleans, La., she was a librarian for Southern University, a graduate of George Washington Carver High School in New Olreans, La., a graduate of Southern University with a degree in Psychology and a member of Sunday School Class #2.

Survivors include: husband, Minister Roosevelt Charles Brown of Picayune; two daughters, Myeshia Brown an Jasmine B. Beard, both of Picayune; two grandchildren, Tony Summers Jr. and Heaven Beard or Picayune; one son-in-law, Clifton Beard of Picayune; three sisters, Nancy Oralee Harrison, Denise Jones, Chanee Harrison, all of New Orleans; two brothers, Arthur Harrison and Matthew Jones Jr., both of New Orleans; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 12 noon – 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Bound Baptist Church.
