Coy Wayne Ashe, Sr.

Coy Wayne Ashe, Sr., a resident of Poplarville, Miss. passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Ashe, a lifelong Republican and carpenter valued a simple life in which enjoyed fishing and gardening. A proud veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army during the second invasion of Japan. After the war, Coy settled in Mississippi and spent 25 years at the paper bag factory in Bogalusa. A humble Christian servant, his greatest connections with the Lord took place at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Until 2013, he faithfully maintained the grounds of the church for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Brother W.D. and Elsie Estelle Payne Ashe; and several siblings.
Left to cherish his memories are two daughters, Betty (David) Poole, Gayle Leonard; one son, Coy W. (Doyla) Ashe, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Alexander Poole, Taylor Poole, Logan Aube, Garrick Aube, Haley Ashe, Barrett Mulford, Amanda Leonard; five great grandchildren, Ella Poole, Aubrey Poole, Braiden Poole, Trustan Aube, Lillie Aube; three brothers, Jimmy Paul Ashe, Bobby Ashe, C.J. “Buddy” Ashe; and one special cousin, Ronald Johnson.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service, 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 8004 Highway 43 North, Poplarville, MS 39470 with Rev. Larry Pickering officiating.
