Sister Carrie Dees Robinson passed peacefully at her home on Monday February 24th, 2014 surrounded by her children, grandchildren, family and friends as she transitioned to her heavenly home to be with the Lord. She was born September 9th 1926 in Cybur, Miss., to the late Mike and Alice Dees who preceded her in death. She later married the late Alonzo Robinson and was a resident of Carriere ,Miss., for over 70 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and dedicated worker in her Church and Community.  She was a member of the New Hebron Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor, Rev. Kenneth Martin Thomas Jr., where she was a member of the Senior Mission and in her earlier years served as a Choir member. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. Mike and Alice Dees; brothers: Jack Dees, Jim Dees, Charlie Dees, John Louis Dees, and Jeffery Dees (still born); sisters: Elizabeth Dees Atkins, Dorothy Mae Dees Beard, Alice Ann Dees Lott, Florence Dees Parker and Bessie Dees Thompson; sons: Tommy Robinson (died as infant), Ted Robinson, Alonzo Robinson Jr., Bernard Robinson; daughter, Ethel Marie Robinson (died as infant); granddaughter, Constance Denise Robinson (died as child); son-in-law, Joe Milto n, a very special dear daughter- in- law and daughter, Sister Charlene Burkett Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories: children: Carrie Marie Spencer, Willie Fred Robinson, Easter Milton, Alice (John) Guillory, Janie (Richard) Kemp, Melinda (Stan) Norwood; a very special niece (daughter) Mary Catherine Acker of Pearlington, Miss.; a very dear Sister-in- law, Sister Katie Mae Dees of Picayune, Miss.; a special daughter, Thelma Green Belows of Alexander, La.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Saturday March 1, 2014 at 9:30 – 11 a.m., Funeral service 11 a.m. at the New Hebron Baptist Church at 111 Byrd Street Carriere, Pastor, Rev. Kenneth Martin Thomas Jr. will be officiating. Pastor’s, Rev. Donald Parker, Rev. Brian K. Dees, of Picayune, Rev. John Dees of Mount Vernon, Ala., Rev. Teno Stubbs, and Frank Thompson Jr. of Slidell, La, are family honorary Clergy. The family wishes to thank New Hebron Baptist Church and the Carriere Community and everyone for their prayers, services and concerns.  A Special thank you to Camellia Home Health and Hospice of Mississippi and Ochsner Northshore Hospital of Slidell La.
