The Pearl River Sheriff’s Department uncovered evidence of a conspiracy to possess illegal substances during a search of a suspect’s residence, said Maj. Donnie Saucier.

Saucier said on Dec. 16, narcotics investigators went to the residence of Tammy Manning, 45, at 752 John Amacker Rd. in Poplarville, to investigate information that Manning was involved in the purchasing of precursor chemicals.

Investigators requested and were granted consent to search the residence by Manning, Saucier said.

“Straws, baggies, pipes and other packaging items used to seal and transport illegal substances,” were discovered during the search of the residence, Saucier said.

Saucier said Manning was charged with conspiracy to possess controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing and Manning, along with other conspirators may be facing additional felony charges, Saucier said.
