Shaunteal Tenae Kush

Shaunteal Tenae Kush, 35, of Paris, Ill., (formerly of New Orleans, La.) passed away Monday, December 30, 2013.
Mrs. Kush was born May 4, 1978 in New Orleans and raised in Picayune, Miss. A homemaker, she enjoyed fishing, camping, and swimming in Picayune; though her greatest fulfillment came from being a mother to her three children.
Shaunteal will be sorely missed by all who came to know her.
Her sister, Shannon Faciane preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her husband, Ronald; three children, Dylan Matthew, Alyssa Marie, Jacquelyn Nicole; parents, Michael Faciane and Barbara True; siblings, Stephanie Michelle, Michael Rene, II, Vanessa Marie; grandmothers, Stella and Anita; aunts and uncles, Sharon and Billy, Kerry and Barbara; four nieces, one nephew, and a host of loving family members.
Funeral services will be 7 pm, Monday, January 6, 2014 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Miss., 39470. The family will receive friends and have visitation two hours prior to the funeral. Barbara Mizell began working for the Picayune Item in 1993. She started during the "cut and paste" days of the newspaper, and was the first to create a newspaper page using the computer for the Item. She has served as Composing Supervisor and honorary Religion Editor. Of all the contributions she has made over her 20 years at the Item, she is most proud of the World War II book "The Greatest Generation." Barbara was born and raised in the White Sand Community on Lee Hill, she has also written many short stories about growing up on the hill.
