Funeral Services for Joe B. Stringer, 88, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Monday, January 13, 2014, will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, and also on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Josh Braddy will officiate at the service.
A native of Picayune, he was a business owner at Stringer Trailer Sales and Mini Storages. Joe was a member of New Palestine Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Joe Boem Stringer and Lula Collum Stringer; his wife, Joyce Stringer; his son, Michael Ray Stringer, and his brothers and sisters: Stanley, Lessie, Tally, Eula Mae, Beatrice, Mary Lou, and Jack.
Survivors include: his son, Gary Stringer and wife Linda; his granddaughter, Lindsey Marie Lewis, and his great-granddaughter, Sadie Marie Lewis.
