January 16, 2014Mass of Christian Burial for Helena Josephine Schroeder , 79, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014, will be held Monday, January 20, 2014, at 12 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1000 Goodyear Blvd., Picayune, MS 39466.
Visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2014 from 11 a.m. until 12: p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Picayune, Miss.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Father Khoa Vo will officiate the service.
A native of Port of Spain, she was a Homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Francis Albert Gomez-Burke and Victoria May O’Connor Gomez-Burke; her husband, Leslie Gordon Schroeder; her sisters: Marjorie, Joy, Claire, and Patsy; and her brother, George.
Survivors include: her children, Hans Schroeder and wife Claudia, Mark Schroeder and wife Jackie, Kristine Schroeder, and Gretchen Montes and husband Robert; her five grandchildren: Shane, Scherry, Rebecca, Christian, and Christina; her sisters, Molly Bailey and Katie Marko; and her brother, David Gomez-Burke.
The family extends much love and appreciation to her many friends and her Senior Center Hula Girls. We give special thanks to the sitters from In Your Home Care, Heritage Manor Staff, and Chateau Notre Dame Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred, or give donations to your favorite charity.
