Memorial Services for Sidney Allen Furr, 57, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away November 27, 2013 will be held, December 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church of Nicholson.

Services are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.  

The Rev. R.T. Buckley will officiate at the service.  

A native of Jackson, Miss., he was a Tugboat Captain and a member of First Baptist Church of Nicholson. Sid was a devoted and loving son, brother, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time piddling on cars, hunting and fishing as often as he could. His devoted dog, T-Boy will have a difficult time understanding where his master has gone, he sits at the window looking for him.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Hollis R. Furr Jr.; and his wife, Debra Holcomb Furr.

Survivors include: his mother, Louise Carlisle Furr; his daughter, Candice Furr Lindseth and husband Jeremy; his two stepdaughters, Tracy Nichelson and husband Mike, Kriston Nicole “Nikki” Kennedy; 5 grandchildren: Taylor Lindseth, Evan & Kaitlyn Nichelson, Korey & Kirston Kennedy; his two sisters and brother, Barbara Lynn Roberts and husband Craig, Hollis “Sonny” Furr III, Ann Furr Cagle and husband Larry; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
