“I am pleased with the way we played tonight,” said PRC head coach Eric Collins. “When you get beat like we have you start looking for reasons why, but we played four really good teams and I knew that we had a really good team as well.”

“We had zero fumbles tonight and no fumbled snaps which has been something we’ve suffered from all year,” added Collins “Our running game played really well and I am pleased with how our sophomores stepped up to the challenge tonight.”

“We did not gap block at all tonight which definitely hurt us and they had too much speed for when we tried to outflank them,” said South Jones head coach Chet Bergalowski. “I told the kids that if they gave their very best tonight, then they are not losers but only then can answer that question.”

“We have to prepare ourselves as best we can mentally and physically for our next opponent,” added Bergalowski. “We have got to continue to try and get better and overcome the difficulties we are facing right now. We are having a hard time blocking and the only way to get better is practice. The mistakes we are making are fixable.”

South Jones falls to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in district play on the season and travels to Natchez next week while PRC improves to 2-4 overall and 1-1 in district play and play host to Laurel next week.
