Friday morning the monument in front of the Pearl River County Courthouse got a scrubbing in anticipation of Veteran’s Day. In addition. Two newer monuments erected to recognize soldiers from the county in Operation Iraqi Freedom will be moved on either side of the center monument. The main monument is for the men and women of the South in the Civil War and World War I. The other monuments honor the soldiers of World War II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Grenada, and Panama.
