Memorial services were held on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. For Frank Spivey, 75, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away on September 2, 2013 in his home. Services were at New Hebron Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Martin Thomas.

Frank Spivey was born September 8, 1937 to the late Randol and Addie Spivey in Carriere. He attended school in Alton community in Pearl River, La. Later the family relocated to Trenton, New Jersey where he continued his education at Junior Five and Lincoln One High School.   

Frank relocated back to his birthplace, Carriere where he united with his soul mate, Mrs. Gearldine Kelley; he remained a resident of Carriere for over 40 years.

Frank was a member of the United States Air Force, and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged.

He was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Frank Spivey ended this walk of life on Monday, September 2, 2013 when God dispatched the angels to bring Frank to his heavenly home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Randol and Addie Spivey.

Frank Spivey leaves to cherish his loving memories: three daughters, Jennifer (Joe) Brown of Carriere, Alice Spivey of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lenora Martin of Fayetteville, N.C.; one step-daughter, Mary Cyrus, of Kenner, La.; two brothers, James W. (Sarah) Spivey, of Detroit, Mich., and Dana L. Spivey, of Tampa, Fla.; six sisters, Alice (Willie) Mann, of Lauderdale, Fla., Lillu (Bill) Fields, of Orlando, Fla., Addie R. (James) Wongus, of Toms River, N.J., Everlena Spivey, of Tampa, Sadie Spivey, of Barnegat, N.J., and Rosie May Spivey, of Tampa; one aunt, Ollie Gillham, of Morrow, Ga.; seven grandchildren: Shay, Randy, Aritisha, Shakea, Kalob, Kalyn, and September; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
