Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1 noon in The Glorious Church of God in Christ, Whitesand Community. Pastor Adam Edwards will officiate at the services assisted by Pastor Victor Robertson.

Mrs. Everlyn Loper was born to the late Frank and Candies Loper in Wallgrove, Miss., on March 23, 1935.

She accepted Christ during her earthly years and was a member of St. Rock Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor Adam Edwards where she was a faithful member and the Mother of the church. She worked in the school system as a custodian.

At an early age she was married to the late Esaw Bester and to this union two children were born and later she married the late Larry Thomas and the late E.J. Bridges.

Early Friday, April 12, 2013 God called her home to rest her labor at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton, La., at the age of 78.

Everlyn was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Candies Loper; her husbands, Esaw Bester, Larry Thomas and E.J. Bridges; two daughters, Dorothy Loper and Gloria Thomas; three brothers, Lester, Peston and Johnny Loper, and one sister, Ecil Silas.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two sons, Michael Ray Loper of Kenner, La., and Larry G. Bester of Covington, La.; two daughters, Charlotte Garcia of Covington. and Patricia Bester of Kenner, La., she raised Alvin J. Carrier Jr. of Covington; two sisters, Birtil Mill of Poplarville, Miss. and Merry Telsede of Covington; one uncle, John L. Waxter; one sister in law Edna Loper and one brother in law, James Herrin; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Dave Mondy Cemetery.
