“My God is an Awesome God”

Louise Acker Jackson, 58, of Pearlington, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2012. Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Pearlington.

The Rev. Robert Preston will officiate at the service, assisted by Elder Bobby McGill. The Rev. Willie D. Rawls is pastor.

Louise Acker Jackson was born August 30, 1954 to the late Nathaniel and Eretta Acker in Gainesville, Miss.

Louise was a member of New Hope Baptist Church at an early age and continued her praise to God until the day of her departure. She was a graduate of Hancock High School. She was employed at Slidell Guest House for 28 years where she never missed a day. She was a happy and outgoing person who devoted her time and life to God. Her favorite things to do were arts and crafts. Louise had a beautiful soul and she was known for her joyful laughter. Louise was a devoted, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Nathaniel and Eretta Acker; sisters, Mildred A. Clark, Cleo Beatrice Lee, Vanessa A. Haynes, and Derzel Acker; brothers, Charles W. Acker, Nathan Acker, and Robert Howard Acker; and nephews, Isaac Thomas (Ronald), Hayward Clark, Jr., and Michael Acker, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her devoted husband, James Jackson; one son, Tirus J. (Nekiel) Jackson; one daughter, Tenesa J. Jackson; three grandchildren, Teara Jackson, Jamaul Jackson, and Christian Lomack; three brothers, Hildred Acker, Will C. (Eartha) Acker, and Larry R. (Sylvia) Acker; five sisters, Brenda Thomas, Joyce L. (Thomas) Stubbs, Carol (Charlie) Johns, Yvonne (Leroy) Rhodes, and Jeannette (Kenneth) Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
