Gregory Alan Parker, 52, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Picayune.

A Memorial Service will be held by the family at World Outreach Revival Center, 900 Cayten St., Picayune, MS 39466 on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.

Gregory Parker was more than just an average man, but he would tell you otherwise. He was a son to his parents, a brother to his siblings and a wonderful father to his daughter. Yet that barely scratches the surface of Greg.

He was a shoulder for those to cry on, a helping hand for those in need, an attentive ear for those with troubled thoughts. His heart was a genuine as a person’s could be and he never said no to anybody. When it counted, and it always did to him, he never failed anyone when they needed him.

He is survived by: his parents, Cecil and Gloria Parker of Picayune; one daughter, Amber Parker of Carriere; one brother, Garland Parker of Picayune; and three sisters, Sherrie Green of Carriere, Phillis Polk of Prentiss and Paula Burnette of Picayune.

Arrangements are under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home and Crematory.
