In remembrance of the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912, a Murder Mystery /Dinner Theatre is Friday, April 20, from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m., at The Dixon Theatre, 502 South Main Street, Poplarville.

A First Class Passenger Ticket of $50 brings audience members the enjoyment of a 4-string quartet, 10-course meal, and a silent auction with reproductions of relics  and photos from the time Titanic’s ill-fated voyage.

One of the items to be displayed is a picture of the ship, autographed by a survivor of the sinking.

There is also a matchbox that, while not on the Titanic itself, is an authentic period piece from that era.

Also on display will be a small piece of coal from the ship’s fuel that was actually on the Titanic at the time of the voyage.

Patrons can dress in tuxedo and Titanic attire, or as they would like. The interior of the theatre will resemble the ship as it appeared at the time of the voyage.
