The United States Army Field Band — The Volunteers, will be performing at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 10th at the Picayune Memorial High School Auditorium.

In a press release, the band is described as “… the United States Army’s premier touring show band. Since its inception in 1981, this talented group has performed in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, Central America, and Europe. The  band seamlessly mixes jazz, fifties favorites, and Motown classics at family-oriented shows while also focusing on rock, country, and pop hits at concerts for young Americans.”  

Staff Sergeant Jonathan A. Milburn says, “We are the Army’s premier touring rock band and the group will be playing country, pop, and patriotic music as well.

“We are looking forward to coming to Picayune and appreciate the patriotism and support we are receiving from the community.”
