Deloris Marie Perkins, born June 24, 1946 passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2011. She was preceded in death by: her father and mother, Melvin F. Perkins and Helen Pierce Perkins; and her sister, Christine Perkins. She is survived by: her sister, Brenda A. Stogner; and her nieces and nephew: Hope P. Ferguson (husband Bradley), April D. Stogner, and John T. Stogner (wife Wendy). She is survived by her adoring great niece and nephews: Hannah M. Ferguson, Justis and Joshua Hinton, and Mason and Peyton Stogner. She is also survived by her life long friend, Allida J. Cordova. She was a native of Fredrick, Md., a longtime resident of Chalmette, La., for 32 years and a resident of Abita Springs since 2006.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Crossgates Blvd., in Slidell, La., on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at 12 p.m. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
