Alexander Sharp, Jr., 77, of Carriere passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011.

Services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9, Sharp Chapel Church in Bush, La.

Visitation was 10-11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel.

Emile Anthony Picarella, Sr.

Emile Anthony Picarella, 55, of Picayune passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Resurrection Life Church followed by Funeral Services at 11 a.m. with Bro. Allen Hickman officiating.  Burial will follow at Garden of Memories on Airline Drive in Metairie, La.

Emile was a Facility Manager at the State of Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation, the President of Picayune Noon Lions Club, and a member of Resurrection Life Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Picarella, Sr. and Doris Gambino Picarella.

He is survived by: his wife, April Picarella of Picayune; five sons, Dr. Emile (Manuella) Picarella, Jr. of Madison, Miss., Timothy (Sophia) Picarella of Gretna, La., David Starks of Ryder, N.D., Stephen (Hannah) Anglin of Destrahan, La., and Scott Anglin of Hattiesburg; four daughters, Heather (Fernando) Ruiz of Terrytown, La., Angela Picarella of Picayune, Jessica (Travis) Tomlinson of Picayune and Julia Anglin of Picayune; one brother, Joseph (Lanelle) Picarella of Texas; one sister, Beverly (A.J) Phillips of Waggaman, La.; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
