A Vicksburg woman has asked a judge to dismiss or reduce the 20-year sentence she received for a 2007 drunk driving wreck that killed an 81-year old man.

Brandy Michelle Wallace was convicted in 2008 of aggravated DUI in the death of John Parrette.

Court documents filed in Warren County Circuit Court, Wallace claims her trial attorney should have done a better job and did not inform her of possible defenses in court.

Wallace pleaded guilty in 2008 to causing the death of Parrette, who was hit while he was checking his mail in front of his home on the same street.

Prosecutors say she was driving with a suspended license from a previous DUI conviction.
