sometimes I see the snowflakes come around,

and right then and there, I know, it’s winter

time. When the birds sing and I see the green

leaves, I know it’s time for spring. The sunshine

is shining down so bright, I try to see the light,

and I say to myself it’s sure enough summer.

When the leaves change color, and it’s the

perfect weather, the only thing to say is, fall.

Julia Barr attends Roseland Park Elementary and is the daughter of George and Kathryn Barr. She is the sister of Jazmine and Justin.

Barr is  Mississippi State winner if National Association for Family and Community Education’s 2011 Essay and Artwork contest with the theme of “Caring.” She has progressed to the National level and hopes to hear good news soon.

Barr is the student of Pam Herrin.
