A June 6 trial date has been set for Justin Archie Clearman, who has been charged in the death of a 2-year-old boy in 2010.

Clearman has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge in the death of Landon Tanner. A Lauderdale County Circuit Court judge set the trial date earlier this month.

Authorities say the boy died of blunt force trauma to the head. The boy died Sept. 19, 2010, at a Jackson hospital, where he was transferred from a Meridian hospital.

Authorities say the incident at the home of the boy’s mother in Lauderdale County.

Clearman remains free on $250,000 bond.
