SERVICE ROAD — Five Picayune businessmen are combining their resources to put in a service road at Exit 6 in the southeast corner on the east side of I-59. They are Sheriff David Allison, Sonny Stewart, Randy Bounds, Dr. Randolph Howes of Kentwood, La., and local Realtor Richard Teague. Bids are expected to be let this week for the project which will see a service road extended about halfway down between the East Hobolochitto Creek and Exit 6 on I-59, according to a spokesperson for the group.
