Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for Joan A. Nunez, 78, of Carriere who passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Slidell, La.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Michael Snyder will officiate at the service.

A native of New Orleans, La., she was a Housewife and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Anthony Serio Jr. and Odette Marie Fourmigue Serio; one daughter, Cynthia Nunez; and one brother, Jack Serio.

Survivors include: her husband, Wilfred Nunez Jr. of Carriere; her children: Wilfred Anthony Nunez of Picayune, Nina Marie Nunez of Picayune, Terri Nunez Brousse of Carriere and Michele Nunez Brousse of Picayune; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Henry Cantrelle o Metairie, La., and Gilbert Cantrelle of Covington, La.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
