Former homecoming queens are returning to the University of Mississippi on Saturday for the first-ever gathering of their exclusive club.

Ole Miss has crowned 58 homecoming queens over the years, and 57 are still living. Organizers say 36 are registered to attend the social gathering, which was started at the suggestion of the 2000 queen, Annabeth Freeman Wyatt.

One of those attending will be Patricia Chadwick Lamar, the 1961 queen. She was mayor of Oxford from 1997 to 2001.
