Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. in McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Wade Bell Welborn, 82, of Picayune, who passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 in Highland Community Hospital in Picayune.

Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Arlis Grice and the Rev. Gary Killen will officiate at the service.

Mr. Welborn was a retired technician at Stennis Space Center, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the Union Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Grady and Izella Spiers Welborn; a grandson, Jamie Stockstill; and sisters, Marilyn Pigott and Emma Jean Williams.

Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Henrietta Dean Welborn; two daughters, Jacquelyn (Homer Ray) Stockstill of Picayune and Natalie (Tom) Turner of Ocean Springs, Miss.; five grandchildren: Shane (Tonya) Stockstill and Sabrina (Rudy) Sanderson both of Picayune, Amee Turner, Christina Turner and Noah Turner all of Ocean Springs; brother, James Webb (Dean) Welborn of Moody, Ala.; great-grandchildren: Miranda Sanderson, Summer Sanderson, Seth Stockstill, Sarah Stockstill, Madison Stockstill and Brunson Stockstill all of Picayune; and also several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
