The AbitibiBowater facility employs about 200 people. The company is the largest producer of newsprint in the world. The plant opened in Grenada in 1989.

Taylor says the plant, which was under temporary suspension in April, reopened long enough to fill 10 days of orders in May.

This is the fourth temporary suspension for the Grenada plant since January. AbitibiBowater filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in April.
