A severe weather system has injured at least four people and caused widespread damage through northern parts of the state in 22 counties Friday night and early Saturday morning. The National Weather Service is surveying what it believes to be two tornado tracks in the Olive Branch area of Desoto County. The cities of Olive Branch, Southaven and Pontotoc County have issued local emergency proclamations.

Again damage assessments continue in all of these counties and more updates will be provided as information becomes available.
