Cuevas takes seat of late husband on Hancock board

Patricia S. Cuevas has been sworn in to take her late husband’s spot on the Hancock County Board of Supervisors.
Cuevas will serve until a Nov. 3 special election is held to fill the seat.
Her late husband, Jay Cuevas, had served as supervisor for 10 years. He died this past week.
Cuevas was sworn in Thursday.
