Eight cases of swine flu have now been confirmed in Mississippi.

Health officials say the new case was a child in Forrest County. Health officials said Friday that the child is recovering.

Through Friday, there have been four cases reported in Harrison County, two in Lamar County, one in Jackson County and one in Forrest County.
