Picayune two-sport standout Brett Milner recently picked up a pretty big honor.

Milner, a speedy, solid hitting outfielder for head coach Cayne Stockstill’s Maroon Tide baseball squad, was recently named a 2009 Under Armour Preseason All-American.

He was invited to participate in the Under Armour Preseason All-American Baseball Tournament that took place in Tuscon, Az.

Milner was the only particpant in the event from the state of Mississippi.

Milner is the son of Jay and Cyndi Cook of Picayune as well as the grandson of Mildred Stockstill of Leakesville, Wayne and Karen Stockstill of Millard and P.C. and Shirley Cook of Picayune.

Milner also started at defensive back for head coach Dodd Lee’s football Maroon Tide.
