The government has been ordered to provide by Friday more details to Gulfport Mayor Brent Warr about the fraud case against him.

Warr and his wife, Laura, have pleaded not guilty to charges they lied to get disaster assistance to repair their Hurricane Katrina-damaged beachfront home.

The government contends that after Katrina tore through the Warrs beachfront home in 2005, the couple “misrepresented” the personal property losses and the extent of renovations and damage at the family’s beachfront home.

The government also contends the beachfront was not the Warrs’ primary residence so they were not entitled to the $150,000 homeowner’s grant they received.

The Warrs’ trial is scheduled for April 6.
