The College Board hopes to have a new chancellor named at the University of Mississippi by the time Robert Khayat retires on June 30.

On Thursday, the board created a committee to find a successor to Khayat. Board President Amy Whitten of Oxford will lead the search committee.

Khayat, who has been chancellor the past 14 years, announced earlier this month he is retiring.
