Authorities are investigating a motorcycle accident that killed a Mississippi man on Interstate 10 in St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana.

Louisiana State Police investigated the two-vehicle crash Saturday that killed 41-year-old Windell R. Stacy of Moss Point, Miss.

A news release from the agency said Stacy was headed east when he lost control. The motorcycle came to rest in the right lane and Stacy landed on the shoulder.

A woman driving a Chevrolet Malibu tried to dodge the motorcycle and hit Stacy. She told police she didn’t see Stacy, who was wearing black.

No charges were immediately filed. Police said the car’s driver had not been drinking.

No one else was injured.
