Sharon L. Walker, 65, of Carriere, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Northshore Regional Medical Center In Slidell, La.

Beloved Wife of MSgt Richard Walker USMC Retired; mother of Patrick Walker, and MSgt Richard Walker Jr. USAF; daughter of the late: Leo and Lois Ryan; sister of: David Ryan, Michael Ryan, Jean Winsor, Roseann Ryan, Mary Taylor, and the late William Ryan and Vicky Ryan; also survived by two grandchildren: Britt Johnson Walker, and Hope Nicole Walker;

A native of Syracuse, New York, Mrs. Walker, a Marine Corps wife, served with her husband in various world-wide locations from 1964-1979 before being transferred to Louisiana. She was a resident of Slidell from 1980 to 1991, and moved to Carriere, where she resided until her demise. Mrs. Walker worked in hotel management for many years, including at the Days Inn in Slidell.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home,1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, La. on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time.
