One of three Mississippi public service commissioners says the president and CEO of Entergy Mississippi is “dead wrong” in statements about a lawsuit Attorney General Jim Hood filed against Entergy Corp.

Commissioner Brandon Presley said Wednesday he believes Entergy’s Haley Fisackerly is trying to create a turf war between the PSC and the attorney general, both of whom have been looking into the electric company’s rates.

In response, Fisackerly said the PSC should hear complaints about the state’s public utilities.

“My intent has never been to create any friction between the commission and the office of the attorney general,” he said in a release.

Hood’s lawsuit, filed against Entergy Corp. and its subsidiaries, claims the companies illegally manipulated the purchase and sale of electricity to maximize profits.

Presley said it was incorrect for Fisackerly to say Entergy has given the PSC all the rate documents Hood has been seeking.
