Authorities in Lafayette have now found the car of a Mississippi man who was found shot to death in Lafayette earlier this month.

The four-door 2007 Mazda 3 that had belonged to 23-year-old Eric “Blake” Renfrow, was found Sunday in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Renfrow, of Carthage, Miss,, had been found dead in a lot between two businesses on Dec. 19.

Lafayette investigators identified Renfrow through fingerprints with the help of Mississippi authorities last Tuesday. Lafayette Police Department spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton said the vehicle may provide more clues to what the victim was doing prior to his death.
