A Diamondhead man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for driving drunk and causing an accident in which a 21-year-old pregnant woman died.

Harrison County Circuit Court Judge Roger Clark on Thursday sentenced Jason Alan Humphreys to 20 years and suspended 10 years, leaving 10 to serve. Humphreys had pleaded guilty to charges that he was intoxicated when he lost control of his pickup on a curve in Pass Christian and hit another vehicle.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Jaimee Hart Anderson died in the crash in January 2005. She was a passenger in a car struck by Humphreys on a rural road as Humphreys returned home from a Mardi Gras parade in Waveland.
