Miss. cities get money for generators

Three Mississippi cities will share in $250,000 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to buy portable generators.

FEMA says the generators that will allow critical facilities to continue operations in the event of long-term power outages.

The Columbus Light and Water Department in Columbus, Miss. will receive $136,000 for two generators. Ocean Springs will receive $26,000 for one generator and Ridgeland will receive $98,000 for six generators.
