A Pearl man has been charged with dozens of charges related to alleged sexual assaults on children under the age of 14.

Paul Jones, who is 27, is being held at the Rankin County Detention Center on $5 million bond.

He faces nine counts of statutory rape and 43 counts of child molestation.

Police Chief Bill Slade said Jones was arrested after they received an anonymous tip.

Slade declined to say how many victims there were or their gender, but he said all were under 14.
