With three temporary building complete, Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara hopes to move inmates to the new facilities next month.

Brisolara told supervisors last week that once the buildings and fence are complete, he will move inmates from the work center to one of the buildings and will be able to house state inmates again.

Female inmates will be placed in another of the temporary buildings. The third building will house inmates from different pods inside the jail.

The inmates will be kept in the temporary building while repairs are made to pods and then will move back into the jail.

The temporary buildings are one of several emergency measures Brisolara recommended to the Board of Supervisors in January after four inmates escaped from the county jail.
