A Carroll County supervisor has entered not guilty pleas to two counts of embezzlement.

Supervisor Lloyd “Honey” Ashmore and his attorney filed the plea documents Tuesday with the Carroll County Circuit Court. The 65-year-old Ashmore also waived a reading of the indictment and asked to remain free on his own recognizance.

Ashmore, of Teoc, was arrested May 20.
