A boil water notice for the Union School Road, Ponderosa Subdivision and Eagle Heights Subdivision has been lifted.

The notice was put into effect last week when a water line in the area was broken and the system lost pressure.

The Picayune Public Works Department, which manages the old Dixie Utilities Water Service, said the boil water notice had been lifted Monday after it received word from the state Department of Public Health that water tests had come back with the water safe to drink.
