Bank robber sought

A suspect has been formulated in the armed robbery of the First National Bank in Picayune that took place Saturday.

Law enforcement officials are looking for a white male about 6’2”, 200 pounds, dark blonde hair and green eyes. The suspect goes by the name Robert Scott Antrim and is described as 38 years-old, said Picayune Police Deputy Chief David Ervin. His last known address is in Wilmer, Ala., just east of Lucedale.

Ervin said Antrim was last seen driving a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck with a camper and a license plate of 2C9122Y.

Antrim has been positively identified as a suspect in a Mobile bank robbery and is a possible suspect in the D’Iberville bank robbery Thursday and the Picayune bank robbery Saturday, Ervin said.

Any information pertaining to the whereabouts of the suspect should be directed to the Picayune Police Department at 601-798-7411.

The robbery of the Regions Bank in D’Iberville on April 17th and the robbery of the First National Bank in Picayune on Memorial Blvd., were the beginning and end of a rash of five bank robberies in South Mississippi in a span of 42 hours.
