Floretta Conlee Williams

Graveside services for Floretta Conlee Williams, 80, of Picayune and formerly of Benoit and Leland will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Leland-Stoneville Cemetery in Stoneville, Miss. She passed away March 27, 2008 at the Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, La. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville.

Boone Funeral Home of Leland is in charge of the arrangements.

She was a native of Missouri and was a longtime resident of Leland, where she was a longtime employee of the Bank of Leland as a Bankteller. After her retirement, she made her home in Benoit, Branson, Mo., and was a full-time RVer.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Hoyt C. and Dorothy Dearman Johnson; her two husbands, Carl William Conlee and Charles E. Williams; a brother, Hoyt C. Johnson, Jr.; and one sister, Betty J. Gideon.

Survivors include: one daughter, Connie C. (Bob) Austin of Rockwall, Texas; three sons, C.W. “Trey” (Kathy) Conlee of Platte City, Mo.; Douglas (Kimberlee) Conlee of Lehi, Utah; and Dr. Don (Gwen) Conlee of Picayune; one brother, Leslie (Kay) Johnson of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters-in-law, Libba Johnson of Columbus, Miss., and Charlotte Conlee of Monroe, La.; 12 grandchildren, Hally Cobb, Stevens Austin, Katie Conlee Harris, Amy Austin Wirtzberger, Danica Conlee Love, Justin Conlee, Josh Austin, Shane Conlee, Zachary Austin, Jesse Conlee, Tyler Conlee and Bryan Conlee; 11 great-grandchilden, Nathan Cobb, Taylor Austin, Jacob Cobb, Parker Austin, Audrey Wirtzberger, Hunter Wirtzberger, Berlynn Wirtzberger, Lexi Austin, Carleigh Wirtzberger, Evan Harris and Mallory Love.

Those who wish to remember the constantly mobile Floretta may consider memorial donations to one of her many “home” churches: The Chapel of The Pines in Picayune; The Benoit Union Church in Benoit; Leland United Methodist Church in Leland; and Branson United Methodist Church in Branson. The family would also recommend a contribution to any local Habitat for Humanity chapter.

The family gratefully acknowledges the doctors, nurses and staff of Slidell Memorial Hospital and Camellia Home Health for their outstanding care and kindness.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 29, 2008 from noon to 1 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home in Leland.
