Gulfport police have arrested the last of four inmates who escaped over the weekend from the Harrison County jail.

Mark Kee Brown, 32, was captured Tuesday in Gulfport and returned to the Harrison County jail, said Sheriff Melvin Brisolara. The sheriff said Brown was found by police in a FEMA trailer in Gulfport.

Brown and three other inmates — 27-year-old Timothy Shane Haynie, 24-year-old Dustin D. Griffin, and 21-year-old William Arevalo — broke out of the jail on Sunday. The others were quickly captured.

Brown had been scheduled in court Monday for the setting of a trial date in a capital murder case. He has served prison time for grand larceny, drug possession and an escape from the Harrison County jail in 2000, authorities said.

Brisolara also said Haynie, 27, was found dead in his cell Monday night. He said Haynie was hanging from his shirt, tied to a fire sprinkler head, in the isolation cell. An autopsy will be conducted.

Brisolara said Haynie was under investigation for identity theft and authorities are not sure if that was his real name.

Haynie had been serving time at Parchman state penitentiary on an armed robbery conviction from Biloxi. He was brought to Harrison County for a hearing to establish his true identity, said Assistant District Attorney Beth McFadyen.

An attorney from Big Springs, Texas, contacted prosecutors late last year claiming to represent the real Timothy Shane Haynie, McFadyen said. The attorney said the real Haynie was trying to enroll in a college but his name showed up as being incarcerated in Mississippi.

McFadyen said authorities believe Cody Blair Green took Haynie’s name. Green and Haynie grew up knowing each other and attending school together, according to the Texas attorney, McFadyen said.
