Ulmer Lorance Lumpkin

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 3 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel of Ulmer Lorance Lumpkin, 58, of McNeill, Miss., who passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007, in McNeill.

Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune.

The Rev. Jimmy Albritton will officiate at the service, and will be assisted by the Rev. Jeff Easterling.

A native of McNeill he was a retired Law Enforcement Officer and a member of the Central Baptist Church. He served as the Picayune Police Chief from 1983 until 1985 and Pearl River County Sheriff from 1985 until 1992.

He was preceded in death by his father: Herman Ulmer Lumpkin.

Survivors include: his wife, Yamileth Lumpkin of McNeill; his mother, Audrey Mae Lumpkin of McNeill; his children, Paul Lumpkin of Vancleave, Miss., Amy Lumpkin Smith of Picayune, Joyce Andrea Lumpkin of McNeill, and Ariela DeLeon Lumpkin of McNeill; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2007, from 1-3 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.

McDonald funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
