Robbery at Burger King

Pearl River County Crime Stoppers needs the help of local residents to solve an armed robbery that occurred early Friday morning.

The Poplarville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours Friday. The call to the police department came in at about 12:15 a.m. Officers responded to Burger King at 105 Mississippi 26 West. Employees stated that a black male, 20 to 30 years of age and less than six foot tall, forced his way into the back door of the Burger King.

The back door was open as employees were taking out trash. After the suspect entered the store, he produced a black handgun and demanded money from the manager. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of money and escaped through the back door. No other information was available at press time. No vehicle was seen at the scene.
