Christian Reformed World Relief Committee will be assisting with these assessments during this two week period. (See attached flyer)
This County-wide Needs Assessment will help our Rebuilding Pearl River County Together (RPRCT) to identify the individuals needing the help to recover from Hurricane Katrina. Any homeowner who applied at LIFE Resource Center, Manna Ministries, American Red Cross, or Katrina Aid Today case Managers with Salvation Army or USM for case manager services need not apply at these Walk-in centers. If someone does not have transportation they can call either LIFE Resource Center at 601-799-5886 or Dixie at Manna Ministries at 601-798-4511.
Rebuilding Pearl River County Together is a Long-Term Recovery Committee that was established February, 2006 by local existing organizations working together to help people recover from Hurricane Katrina. This Needs Assessment will also help us know how many families still need assistance in Pearl River County. RPRCT has already repaired 78 homes since obtaining grant funds from various funders to pay for building materials and labor cost for single parents, elderly, and low income families who do not any other way to repair their homes.
