Louisiana couple killed in I-10 accident on Miss. coast

Authorities say a husband and wife from Louisiana were killed this past weekend in a three-car collision on Interstate 10 in Mississippi.

Four others were injured, including the couple’s daughter.

Authorities say 46-year-old Edith M. Tranchina and her 47-year-old husband, Thomas Tranchina, died at hospitals after the Sunday night crash near Pass Christian.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove says the two were passengers in a car driven by their 21-year-old daughter, Ashley Tranchina. The family is from the Louisiana town of Bush.

Hargrove says Ashley Tranchina, her boyfriend and the drivers of the other two vehicles were treated and released from Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
